FROM THE INSIDE LOOKING OUT:
One of the stars of "Las Vegas," James Lesure, admits there's a level of
familiarity on set now that the cast is nearing its season three finale,
but he doesn't want things too get too cozy. "It's sort of a comfortable
place to work. I don't want it to get too complacent, though," says
Lesure, who plays the suave and competitive Mike Cannon. "I would love
for us, if we continue, to raise our game and keep getting better and
deepening the characters." According to Lesure, his female costars "are
all in significant relationships and stuff like that, so I hang out
mostly with Josh [Duhamel] off set. We're about the same age and we both
play basketball so I find that we have a lot in common."
In the meantime, the actor says he's just enjoying the show and hoping
the audience continues to find them on their new Friday night schedule.
"It's a smaller viewing audience in general so that's a drawback. It's
taken a little adjustment, but we're doing pretty well."
