Welcome to our explanation and solution for the massive writer's
strike that is going on now in Hollywood.
Sick of Reality TV? Upset at all the reruns? Ticked that your
favorite show is off the air or about to go off the air? Then let's work
together as fans to do something about it! Read below for details.
Gary Scott Thompson was nice enough to answer this
question for us. You can read his comments on our
forums.
WHAT IS THE STRIKE ABOUT?
As everyone is well aware the writer's strike is going on now in full
force and a lot of our favorite shows are being plunged into reruns because the
greedy studios refuse to give the writers their fair share. If you would like to
help the writers to put pressure on the networks to give them a fair deal,
please use the email addresses below to contact the advertisers.
See, the advertisers are how NBC and all of the other networks make the
majority of their profit. The advertisers buy commercial time or they buy ads on
websites like nbc.com and this is what creates billions of dollars in revenue
for the networks. What we cans can do is email these advertisers threatening to
boycott their products unless they force NBC and the other networks to get back
to the bargaining table for the writers.
It's something small we can do to support these great writers who give us
such great entertainment and who are only trying to get a deal that's fair to
them. Above is a youtube video explaining what the strike is about and why the
writers are striking. It's a great video and clarifies it all.
Below is a list of NBC advertisers. The goal is to send as many emails to these advertisers a day as you can. The more
we fans bombard them, the more effective it is. If you have any questions please
feel free to
email me.
In your emails to the advertisers just let them know we are going to
boycott their products unless they do something to pressure the networks into
solving this strike.

Message from Gary Scott Thompson
"On behalf of the cast and crew of Las Vegas, thank you for your support
the last five seasons. You're the greatest fans in the world. Good luck with
your campaign! We're ready and willing to give you the series end you
deserve. VIVA LAS VEGAS!"
Yes everyone, I am so sad to report that Vegas has been cancelled by
the evil trio at NBC. Ben Silverman, Jeff Zucker, and Marc Graboff. There
will be no more episodes, and no ending to our cliffhangers. However, fans
aren't going to take this lying down. We are going to fight for the show -
see above for details.
