The final answer about the show..., TWITTER INFO ADDED!

There has been a lot of talk lately about posts showing up on different forums about the show being saved and returning to tv. I decided to go right to the source and find out what was going on.

I'm sorry to report to you all that there is no hope for the show returning.

I've been emailing with Gary Scott Thompson all week. He is still under contract with the network and says that nothing is being discussed anymore.

I am excited to tell you that Gary will be taking some time to answer everyone's questions about what was in store with our favorite show!
I will let you know here when I have more details for you, but as of right now, start thinking of what you want to ask. He will be taking questions on Twitter (I will post his name, the day and time when I have the final information) and then I will be posting the results of the Q&A here after. If you do not have Twitter (or don't want to get it), post your questions here and I will be sure they get asked.

Thank you to everyone who donated money, sent in baby booties, and wrote tons and tons of letters. Unfortunately, it didn't work... but at least we'll get a little bit of closure soon.

What were ALL the reasons for the show being cancelled?
What did he tray to get the show back?
How did people from NBC react to this furum and all the hard work from us?
Why doesn´t NBC still tray to bring back the show ?(except that it will cost a lot)
Can GST go and work for another network where they are willing to produce the show? Maybe not working for another network but selling the show to another network.
Is there really absolutly no hope for the show?
How many season was GST planing on making?
What happens with the baby?
Where was Cooper during the plane crash?
Does Big ED show up again?
How does everithing end?
Can he give us some king of long future summery of the show if he has one?

I really don´t get it. How could NBC be so stupid and pathetic? If I had the channel (I am from Bulgaria) I would never watch it again after what they´ve done with this show and as I´ve heard some other shows. How do they expect their ratings to be up? How can NBC be so blind to see what a big mistake they are doing?

As I had predicted in that if we didn't hear anything by the time the TCA press tour was taking place which was right about now, then this show would be history. It's a damn crying shame it came down to inept management at a once-proud network that is slowly going into chaos and massive implosion right now. i blame Jeff Zucker and Ben Silverman for the state this network is in right now and I guess GE really doesn't care anymore so why should we about NBC? I see it finishing in 5th place and screw NBC from this point forward! What a joke of a broadcast network!

Swiperfox, would you be so kind as to ask GST why this show was canceled, would there be a possibility of a direct to DVD of the series finale being filmed or something to that accord and what he has been hearing about all these rumors of the ousting of Ben Silverman and stuff? I would love for that to happen and did NBC even bother paying any kind of attention to our pleas to get the show back on? Just wondering but this proves how screwed up NBC really is right now! SAD!

well atleast we have our answer, although its not what we wanted to hear, we finally got it. thankx swiper for going straight to the source and getting the truth!!!!!! i also wanted to know for those of us who don't do twitter(although maybe i will get on there that day if i'm not at work) will you be posting the q&a session with him on here???? that would be great if you could. well i wanna know whats gonna happen with danny, delinda and baby mccoy!!!!! what happened with cooper not being in the plane crash, and is he really pipers dad???? and maybe big ed deline showing up with all the baby drama and trying to fight for jillian but maybe she'll no and go hook up with cooper!!!!!! i have so many questions, just can't think of them, i'm sure the great people on here will think of some of them for me though!!!!!! thanks again swiperfox

I'm just as disappointed as everyone else about this, but I too would like to add a couple of questions (I don't have a Twitter unfortunately). Swiperfox, ff you would please pass the following on to GST:

First question: Obviously there's no hope for closure for the show, since it's officially over. But do you think there might be hope for some sort of movie adaption in the future (ex: Get Smart, Bewitched, Miami Vice)? And if for some reason this were to happen some number of years from now, would you consider working on it, possibly as a producer or writer?

Second question: Just out of curiosity...what exactly happened to all the props and costumes from the show? I've seen some of it on eBay, but any other way to get some cards/chips? It would be a great way to remember the Montecito.

Finally: Just a thanks to GST and all the cast and crew who worked on Vegas over the past five seasons. Thanks for making such a great show. It's just too bad that it had to end so suddenly and in such a bitter way. Good luck on your future projects! Viva LAS VEGAS!

Thanks SF for that information.though its bad news for us, we were able to know the truth exactly.Important story questions are already posted. I have some questions too i will post in coming days.

But most importantly please ask this to GST

If nbc is so sure of not bringing back the show why didn't they sell the rights of the show to other networks .Why are they keeping it themselves and ruining the best show on tv.why do they hate this show so much that neither they dont like to produce nor letting any other network produce?

NBC , you have done a biggest mistake and you will be in hell, your network will never come up after what you have done to a good show and the loyal fans. :angry:

Off the top of my head...

What was the reason behind sticking Danny with Delinda? Was it something for him to do until he got back with Mary and then Nikki left? It just seemed SO inorganic and forced. And the baby didn't help.

Why did Nikki and Marsha leave? It seamed near the end of both their stints, there wasn't much the writers could find for them to do. Did Nikki's changing looks play any part in it?

What happened with Mike and Sarasvati? I liked their chemistry.

Why was Lara Flynn Boyle added to the cast?

surreal, don't you remember for delindas bachelorette party when she was gonna marry derrick that sarasvati was on the phone with mike tellin him she wants him but then the next day he found out from sam that she had went home with all of the male strippers, after a diss like that, i wouldn't even try hangin out with someone like that, lmao!!!!!!!!!

I actually like how things worked out with Danny and Dalinda in the show. Dalinda was getting married; we could see how Danny was jealous and began to understand that he cared about Dalinda. She also wasn´t shore of her feelings. We could see sparks between them. The hole ending of season 3 wouldn´t have been that exiting and strong if things didn´t work out that way they did and Dalinda would have been gone. Then in season 4 all the stuff that was going on between them was nice and funny something new to the show.
I don´t know about Danny that knight he returned from work and his whole apartment was refurnished just the way Dalinda wanted it if does gorges legs weren’t there to make me feel better there was going to be a BIG problem. Dalinda knows how to get what she wants. At the end she wanted something and Danny fell asleep what are the chances of that. :P . Danny knows his place and her wild her, and knows what she is doing. It´s pretty cool that they are together!
The way they do things in the show is perfect.

I completely forgot about Sarasvati leaving Mike for the strippers. I still liked their chemistry. I'm wondering more along the lines of why did they write her out like that? Why not keep them together for a while?

yeah we've had lots of D/D V. Dary arguments before my question for GST is more along the lines of "What does he have to say to those of us who saw D/D as more physical than anything else? The romantic chemistry seemed forced.

Gary will like to answer about what would have happened with the characters and story lines after the season five finale and the reasons of nbc for their decisions.Just my thought.
