I really wish this was going down when I had more time to deal w/this and give some better input but I'll try. First I have never saved or campaigned for anything. But I have done PR for over 20 years so I have a pretty fined tune gut on what is effective vs what will backfire. Unless you can get many hundreds sending items, preferably thousands I honestly feel this will prove to TIIC that the show isn't worth saving.

Sorry I don't have time to sugar coat this but I really want to get this up and not sure I'll have time today so forgive my just spitting out facts. Not trying to be rude at ALL....just want to get this here in a timely manner. These would be my suggestions.

Start a web site that is strictly to "Save & Support Las Vegas the Series." Encourage folks to mail letters ASAP but I would hold off on the random mailing of stuff until that can be organized. I would check with some wholesalers or if that is too hard check out Oriental Traders. They sell cheap stuff in bulk and have many items like this (I still think baby dolls doesn't focus on the show but maybe they want stuff they can donate...but I just don't see how that supports the entire show). I would get a PRIVATE sign up list for those willing to contribute and how. For example I see my name onboard but for what? I guarantee all of you the odds of me going out to buy and package a doll or anything is less likely than me buying the rights to the show and trying to sell it lolol. BUT if someone has the time to set up something where we can Paypal a few bucks and an item will be mass delivered I would give in.

Now, as I mentioned in the past, based on how poorly Jericho has been doing I honestly am not sure this is the the most positive way to proceed. I would focus on promoting how the network would benefit;

they have enough episodes for syndication--they make big $$ off of this more bucks more profit for the network

The show has been winning it's time period and getting decent ratings on a horrid night

Alientation of fans by unanswered cliffhangers

Fans stayed loyed for 2 shortened seasons and will be very upset by this

Tivo and web numbers proving the fanbase that can't watch on Fridays.

I could list another dozen but those are solid business selling points.

VegasRebel, you don't have to reply to this publicly, but can you or your source get GST on the phone and get his input on what would likely be his thoughts on the most effective things fans could do, if we send stuff in should there be a minimum for this to be effective, and how quickly do we need to be doing this. I'd love to know if there is time (ie a week or 2), to get some proper organization vs just doing this willy nilly.

We can let them cancel LV! It rules and the idea with the baby stuff is awesome! I just hope they don't kill the baby, then I think they will lose a lot of viewers, it will be as when they killed Sara in Prison Break, they lost a lot of viewers because of that!

VFW- I appreciate your input and I can assure you that I've checked with a lot of people with this and sending the socks/booties plus letters works for all. As for setting up a whole other website, while it's a good idea - I personally don't have the time to create a whole other site just for the campaign which is why I just made a section for the campaign on this site. Now we can definitely improve that section since it was done quickly. And if anyone is interested in help running it, then please email me.

Sending these letters and booties/socks will help the show and that's why we are doing it. People can either send their own socks/booties or they can email me and I will do for them after a donation.

It's a quick, easy, effective way to campaign and hopefully it has the same impact it did last year.
